As the Chinese Lunar New Year approached, celebrities from home and abroad having attended the China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF), as well as cartoonists, animation game companies and painters in Hangzhou extended best wishes for the new year. They also sent out an invitation to the world from the “capital of animation” -- let’s meet at the 15th CICAF from April 30 to May 5, 2019!

The most attractive "pig" in the Spring Festival was, without question, the Peppa Pig. Peppa Pig UK brand president Olivier Dumount, an old friend of Hangzhou and the animation festival, recorded a special video program to send New Year's greetings: “I would like to send a big 'Hello' for all Chinese fans. I wish you a happy New Year!” He also expressed his expectations and wishes for the 15th CICAF this year. “I wish the 15th animation festival a complete success. Over the past three years, I have been to Hangzhou to participate in the animation festival. I’ve found a lot of good cooperation and friendship. I hope to have more harvest in the future.”

The Heckerty Company general manager Allan Davidson, a Canadian animation expert, extended blessings from Paris, France: “On festive occasions, more than ever we think of our dear ones far away. Happy Spring Festival to Chinese friends! See you at the animation festival!”

Hong Kong famous cartoonist Yuk Long Wong, Taiwan famous cartoonist Loic, and mainland famous cartoonist Murong Yindao also sent their blessings, wishing everybody all the best in the new year, and meeting at this year's CICAF.
