Hangzhou Animation Game Industry Launches “Love Calendar” Activity

On November 23, Hangzhou Animation Game Association launched the fourth “Love Calendar” activity, entitled Animation Thanksgiving, Caring for Society -- Heart for Heart, Caring for Autistic Children, in Xiacheng District Cognition Development for Autism Intervention Organization. This is the fourth event of the association's "West Lake Animation” Public Welfare Brand. Since June this year, the association has initiated the "Love Calendar" campaign, advocating the animation game companies in Hangzhou to send care and warmth to the groups in need in the form of animation, and spread love with animation, a lively spreader, and pass on positive energy to build a never-ending animation festival.

At the site of the activity, Hangzhou Animation Game Association handed the charitable donations to Zhejiang Provincial Welfare Foundation for the Disabled, giving a helping hand to the rehabilitation of autistic children. It also accepted the “Zhejiang Province Care for the Disabled Unit” title awarded by the latter. Fifteen autistic children presented the guests with their hand-made paper stickers. The officials and guests present at the event interacted with the children and presented them small gifts. The animation designer from Steam Works brought the children a locally made animation work “Pocket Forest". While watching the animated film, the children learned the principles of fixed animation, and created their own roles.

Zhou Ye, deputy director of the Communist Party of China Hangzhou Municipal Committee Publicity Department, and deputy director of Hangzhou Municipal Cultural Creativity Office, said that “I am very pleased to see that, under our promotion and inspiration, more and more animation professionals from Hangzhou and the country at large have joined our team of loving care. I hope that with our publicity efforts, all sectors of the society can better understand and help these children in difficulties, care and understand them and their families in the meantime.”
