2010 International Cartoon & Animation Alliance Hangzhou Summit

The 3rd International Cartoon & Animation Alliance Hangzhou Summit, another heavyweight project of the 6th CICAF kicked off on the afternoon of April 30th at Phoenix Creative International. Representatives of the well-known animation festivals from various countries witnessed the friendship and cooperation among the world animation festivals. Huang Kunming, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, announced the establishment of the "International Animation Festivals Hangzhou Club" and awarded two Club Keys to Ms Vesna Dovnikovic, Secretary-General of ASIFA, and Mr. Luca Lafarelli, Director of i Castelli Animati Festival. Ye Ming, Deputy Secretary of Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of CICAF Executive Committee, addressed the speech and unveiled the opening of Taiwan Animation Museum of the Zhejiang Culture Creative Park together with Cheng Weidong, Chief Editor of Zhejiang Radio Group, and Tsai Chih Chung (Cai Zhizhong), famous cartoonist.

The purpose of the holding of Hangzhou Summit is to promote the cooperation and development of animation festivals in various countries through continuous contact and efforts, and make Chinese animation become global in a faster pace.
